Therapeutic Massage
Rejuvenate aching muscles
Service Description
Designed to alleviate chronic tension and achy muscles, this massage combines myofascial release and trigger point therapy to release adhesions in the connective tissue and reset neuroreceptors in the muscles, allowing your nervous system to unwind pain feedback loops and finally get some relief. This massage emphasizes relief based on current scientific understanding of connective tissue involvement. Important Note: "Deep tissue" is not the same as "extreme pressure." I do utilize more pressure in this massage, but the goal is accessing and affecting deeper layers of soft tissue, not grinding your bones into the table. My policy with therapeutic/deep tissue massage is to work with your body to release adhesions in the soft tissue and interrupt the pain feedback loop, which signals the nervous system to release the muscle. I do not take a "no pain, no gain" approach.
